The House of Emanuel Ungaro was founded in 1965. A young Giambattista Valli was Emanuel's annotated successor after his retirement and brought much flair and praise as Creative Director from 1998 to 2004.

This sensuous mini-dress walked the runway for Ungaro’s Spring 2002 collection and a purple version was worn by Britney Spears on the red carpet for the 2002 NRJ Music Awards in Cannes, France. Tailored from a lightweight black jersey, it has an oh-so-’90s slash neck and bodycon. The ruched side means that it has an asymmetric, thigh-revealing hemline. It has a one shoulder silhouette. The left hand side is gathered and ruched, held in place with a leather band which is laced with black stretch jersey. This leather band extends over the shoulder and can be worn as a second strap. The original hot pink label reads “Emanuel Ungaro Paris”. The dress is unlined.

In superb vintage condition with no issues of any note. It is labelled a French 38, UK 10 or US 6. It is 90% Spandex, 10% Elastane and the strap is 100% Lamb Leather. The fabric has a lot of stretch so please allow a degree of flexibility on the below measurements.
