This sweet short-sleeve dress was created by an unknown designer in the 1960s and may have been a wedding dress as it is a delicate shade of white. Tailored from a man-made chiffon which has been machine embroidered with delicate rows of vines and florals. The dress has a wide neckline which adds an easy grace to the silhouette and, at the rear, there is a soft V-neckline. The waist is nipped-in and gives way to a full, swing skirt which kicks out as the wearer walks. The skirt is lined with a layer of white tulle to add volume and a final layer of white satin for comfort close to the skin. The top is also lined with white satin. The dress fastens at the rear with a hidden tonal zip and hook-and-eye clasp.
In excellent vintage condition with no issues of any note. We have cleaned and pressed so she is ready to wear. No labels remain in the dress and our estimate of best fit is around a UK size 8-10 or US 4-6. The fabric has no stretch.
